John “Jay” Stewart is Prescient’s Vice President, Business Development. Mr. Stewart was most recently an executive vice president with Cushman & Wakefield where he specialized in representing corporate and institutional clients with their commercial real estate requirements in the Chicago area and nationally. During his 25 plus year career, he completed more than 1,200 lease assignments both in Chicago and around the country and world. He has completed some of the largest in the Midwest including numerous major assignments exceeding 100,000 square feet.
Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield, Mr. Stewart was an Executive Vice President for the Chicago office of Grubb & Ellis and was an Executive Vice President at Trammell Crow Company (TCC) and before that he spent 16 years at The John Buck Company as a principal and managing director of its Strategic Advisory Group. As a corporate consultant, Mr. Stewart has assembled an impressive portfolio of local and national clients and has completed transactions in excess of 10,000,000 square feet.
Mr. Stewart is a member of the Economic Club of Chicago, Union League Club of Chicago, is Vice president of the Auxiliary Board of the Art Institute of Chicago, a member of the Plan Commission and the Economic Development Commission of La Grange, Ill., and Treasurer of La Grange Field Club. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Lawrence University.
